ABOUT THE ARTIST

A proud native of Detroit, Amy studied fine art at Wayne State University. After marrying and a moving to Philadelphia, Amy went to work for the coolest company in town, joining the Production team at Urban Outfitters and later moving to the Design department at Anthropologie. Years later she set it all aside to chase her ultimate dream of starting a family.  Two amazing kids and a trusty black lab later, Amy dusted off her brushes and rekindled her love of oil painting. Fast forward to her second black lab, a life-changing medical diagnosis, and an alignment of stars, it all came together.  Her eye for print, pattern and color, a passion for interiors, and her love of doggos connected resulting in the charming portraits she’s known for today.  These whimsical works live just to the left of reality, beautifully capturing each pet while the backgrounds reflect the personality of their owners.

Whether she’s out and about in Philly, skiing in the Poconos, on the lakes of Michigan, or working away in the studio you can be sure her trusty dog, Camper, is by her side.   She continues to study under well respected local artists in her desire to never stop learning, growing and improving.

In 2016, Amy was diagnosed with MS. Although she is currently enjoying great health and happiness, the number of commissions taken on is limited due to energy and a desire to keep stress levels low. In honor of all those battling the disease and fighting for a cure, a percentage of all proceeds on prints is donated annually to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
